ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW:
Alchemy London Market is currently seeking a Solutions Architect to assist in designing integration solutions for mainframe systems for an Insurance client of ours. You will create a comprehensive solutions architecture that seamlessly integrates modern digital technologies with existing mainframe infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and compatibility, playing a pivotal role in driving our clients’ digital transformation initiatives.
ASSIGNMENT OBJECTIVES:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and technical requirements related to mainframe integration.
- Develop comprehensive solutions architecture designs that bridge the gap between legacy mainframe systems and modern digital platforms.
- Lead the implementation of integration solutions, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and security across all systems.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to development teams throughout the integration process, addressing challenges and optimising performance.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing mainframe infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and modernisation.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating innovative solutions into integration strategies.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, presenting technical concepts and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
YOUR EXPERIENCE & SKILL-SET:
- Experience within Insurance Sector.
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect specialising in mainframe systems integration.
- In-depth knowledge of mainframe architecture, including z/OS, COBOL, and JCL.
- Familiarity with modern digital technologies, such as cloud computing, APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Strong understanding of integration protocols and standards, including FTP and FTPS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
